February is here and that can only mean one thing; Valentine's Day! So Glossybox have of course based their most recent box on the day of love (how cheesy was that line?). This month's box is a special edition design for Valentine's Day, with a black and white striped lid background, and "LOVE" written out in a baby pink. I'm definitely loving these special edition Glossyboxes!
This mask is a mineral-rich volcanic paste that cleanses and purifies the skin. It's enriched with anti-ageing ingredients which claims to plump and and smooth the skin. Now if it really does what it says it does, I will buy this product by the truckload! The mask is also paraben and silicone free, vegan and 9% natural which is very impressive! I have high hopes for this little tube! RRP £26
Garnier Ultimate Blends Honey Treasures Strength Restorer Balm
A sample sachet of Garnier's hair mask with honey claiming to hydrate and leave the hair nourished and glossy looking. It's meant to be used just like a conditioner usually is, so I will give it a go and see how my hair looks and feels for my next wash. RRP £4.49
Bee Good Honey & Camelina Facial Exfoliator
Now this was apparently one of Glossybox's best-rated products last year. It contains a variety of natural ingredients such as lavender, wheatgerm oil and British propolis (a potent anti-ageing ingredient produced by bees). It claims to lift and exfoliate dead skin, whilst also soothing and moisturising - that's a lot! I'm looking forward to seeing how well this product works with it being a Glossybox best-rated. RRP £10.50
Ciaté London Paint Pot in Fade to Greige
A beautiful mauve coloured full-size nail polish from Ciaté. I was actually pleased to find this little bottle in my Glossybox this month as I've never used Ciaté before and I've heard great things! The colour is definitely a "me" shade, and I'm honestly glad it's not a traditional Valentine's red or pink colour since it'd be a bit cliché! RRP £9
Jeanne Arthes L'Eau de Rose
A full-size 30ml bottle of perfume combining the classic rose scent with dreamy, elegant and crisp notes. This is a lovely floral and fresh smelling perfume, perfectly fitting this month's romantic theme. It actually reminds me a bit of Glow by J.Lo if you're at all familiar with the scent. The bottle itself is made of glass and looks really classy. It's a nice small bottle perfect for travelling with or chucking in your handbag for a quick spritz throughout the day. The only downside I've noticed so far is that the scent itself isn't very long lasting on the skin. RRP £20
Quick tips for applying your perfume:
- Spritz it on your wrists, behind your ears and at the bottom of your throat.
- Don't rub your wrists together after applying a fragrance as this affects the scent. Simply spray and gently press or wait for it to dry!
Although this month's Glossybox was themed for Valentine's Day, other than the perfume and nail polish, I don't feel like very many of the actual products were actually in keeping with the theme. That being said, I haven't received anything that I won't use so I'm pleased with what I've got! I feel like I've had lots of skincare products come through over the last two Glossyboxes now, so I'm definitely hoping to see some more makeup in the next edition!
Have a lovely Valentine's day everyone!
