What I Wore

I was heading out for dinner with some friends so I decided to take some quick snaps of what I wore. A super casual and comfy outfit since we were keeping it local and were likely to be outside a lot. The main aim of this outfit was to be warm since I don't deal well with the cold!! I threw on some Nike trainers, leggings and a dogtooth pattern top with my grey longline coat.

What I Wore - Kardashian Kollection Launch Party

Due to the nature of my job, I am lucky enough to be invited to some very exclusive fashion events, so I had the pleasure of attending the launch party for the Kardashian Kollection for Lipsy! What I found to be really spectacular was that the event was held at the Natural History Museum in London! I have attended many events in bars and clubs but never one in a museum and it was truly magnificent. 

Now I'm really terrible at leaving myself enough time to get ready and take snaps of my outfit for a blog post, but I managed to take some when I got home.

I went with an Aztec printed skater dress from Forever 21, which has black mesh on the top and also mesh cut-outs on the side waist which I think gives the dress a very interesting style.

As it is quite chilly out in London at the moment, I paired it with some black tights and my trusty black shoe boots from New Look. 

For accessories, I went for a simple black clutch from Accessorize, a statement black and gold ring from Primark, and a gold cuff and a pair of long diamond shaped earrings from Forever 21.

As the dress and accessories were all black and gold, I thought adding a bright colour would really complete this look so I chose to go with red on my lips and nails to add a bit of brightness!

What I Wore

I was invited to my first ever Christening a few months ago, and I had no idea what to wear! I have tonnes of black dresses and "going out" dresses, but they just didn't seem Christening appropriate. I finally managed to throw together the outfit below (10 mins before needing to leave the house!). I went for a conservative pink peplum dress with black court shoes and a cardigan.

A Little Bit About Me

Well as you may have guessed, my name is Swapna and this is my blog! I'm 24, live in London and love fashion, beauty, books and food.

I have a problem weakness when it comes to make up and cosmetics - I buy way more than I tend to use! My wardrobes break because I pile too many clothes in them (according to my dad), and I eat more than a girl my size really should. 

But the guilt finally got to me and my jeans began to feel a tad snug, so I recently started going to the gym - hoorah! 

So what else should a girl do other than begin a blog about all of the above, and more. 

Winter is coming *wink to all you Stark fans* and I'm sure I'll be spending a lot more time bundled up next to the radiator on my laptop posting, so watch this space!
