This little squishy ball of pink is GENIUS. I honestly thought it was just going to be an overrated makeup sponge but boy was I wrong!
It's perfect to use with a liquid foundation, I don't think it would be great with cream based foundations but then again I've not given it a go. I use the Beauty Blender to apply my Bourjois Healthy Mix foundation and I love the outcome. It makes my skin look airbrushed and really blends the product in so that there aren't any funny streaks that you can sometimes be left with when using a brush.
I think this has got to do with the sponge being damp and the (little) water that is retained helping the foundation to blend into the skin. The pointed tip is so handy for getting into the corners of your eyes and around your nose.
I was never a huge fan of sponges for foundation application as I found they soaked up a lot of product (especially annoying when it's expensive stuff!), and the Beauty Blender is unfortunately no exception here. I have to use 50% more product when using my Beauty Blender in comparison to when I'm using my Sigma F80 flat kabuki brush for foundation. Although with that said, I don't think it soaks up as much as a standard sponge would.
That's about the only negative thing I'd have to say about the Beauty Blender. It's a must have!
You can pick one up for yourself here.
Have you tried the Beauty Blender? I'd love to hear your thoughts!
