My first Glossybox for the month of November came full of bits to get you ready for the party season. The packaging is beautiful and a real delight to open up, with the products wrapped in tissue paper and ribbon. Knowing me, I'm sure I will hoard the empty boxes and use them to store something or the other because they're just too darn cute to throw away! Anyway, let's get into what I got!
Nanogen Root Boost Hair Thickening Spray 30ml
This claims to be a salon blow dry in a bottle (a bold claim to make). A fine mist that instantly thickens and volumises your hair to give a big and bouncy feel. The formula contains strengthening keratin and soothing niacinamide to help care for your scalp. I'm excited to use this little badboy and see if it really does what it claims. I have to say I couldn't help but give it a sniff and it smells AH-mazing! [RRP £9.95 100 ml]
De Bruyere Beaute Jumbo Eye Pencil in Bubble 07
A beautiful metallic bronzy-champagne (not a khakhi-grey as described on the product sheet) coloured eye pencil with iridescent glitters. Lovely creamy texture that is blendable and buildable. Got to love getting neutral colours like this which will undoubtedly get lots of use paired with any lip colour! [RRP £12.82/€15]Wilkinson Sword Quattro for Women Raspberry Rain Disposable Razors
A pack of three disposable razors which are always handy to have. But hold the phone, they aren't just any ordinary razors, no no, these razors have subtly scented raspberry handles!! Why you ask would anyone want razors with scented handles? I HAVE NO IDEA. A pretty bizarre and useless feature I say. A bit underwhelming overall but hey, at least they are something I will use so I can't complain too much! [RRP £5.69 for 3]
111Skin Bio Cellulose Facial Treatment Mask
The ultimate pre-party pick me up with instant results (another bold claim!). A gold brightening facial treatment mask claims to instantly lock in moisture and allows its three key ingredients to work it's magic on the skin; arbutin to brighten, silk amino acids to condition and centella asiatica to stimulate collagen production. I'm keen to see how well this works with its "techy skin credentials", since face masks are all the rage these days! [RRP £20]
Ruby Professional Large Tapered Blending Brush
A cruelty free "soft but firm" bristled blending brush, with a tapered head perfect for blending shadows around the eye and as a precision contouring brush. I was pleased to find this brush in the box since using a clean blending brush is key to keeping a makeup look crisp, and so having multiple blending brushes to hand is always helpful. The brush itself is a great size but the brush handle feels quite lightweight, almost in a cheap way which leaves me skeptical about how long it'll last. I'm hoping that the Ruby brand surprises me! [RRP £6.82/€8]
A Raffaello chocolate
An extra little goody thrown in I believe. I'm not one to turn away chocolate, especially a Raffaello! As far as first impressions go, I was generally pretty happy with my first Glossybox. Overall a good mix of beauty, skincare and hair products which I'm definitely eager to try out.
Keep an eye out for future posts to see if any of these products make it into my hair or beauty holy grails!
For now, adios!
Swapna x
