Glossybox- January 2017

New year, new Glossybox! So after all the food binging over the Christmas period, I know I'm definitely in need of a detox! When I'm eating badly, my skin shows it so this month's Glossybox has arrived with a bunch of skincare products - how perfect!

January introduces "The Edible Edit" Glossybox, a special edition box in collaboration with Instagram foodie Deliciously Stella, with a super-food inspired box full of skincare and beauty products. I think this Glossybox is one of my personal favourites, so keep reading to see what I got!

Vitamasques Manuka Honey Face Mask
With the recent winter weather being so cold, a hydrating and moisturising face mask is never a bad thing to combat the effects of winter on the skin. This Korean face mask is made with extracts of manuka honey, which claims to nourish, hydrate and moisturise the skin. It's a triple layer sheet face mask with special technology designed to enhance the moisture content and absorption rate within the skin. I don't suffer from very dry skin on my face, but I feel like this mask could help with keeping my skin feeling soft and supple. [RRP £3.99]

Spa To You Deep Pore Cleansing Facial Brush
A fab cleansing brush with fairly lengthy but soft bristles, which feels like it would be very kind to the skin. I already own an electric cleansing brush, so I probably wouldn't use this one but I feel like this is a great complimentary product to use with the cleanser. [RRP £6.99]

Unani Illuminate Milk Cleanser
I was so pleased to find this full sized 200ml bottle of cleanser in this month's box since I've been wanting to try out a new cleanser for a while now. The Unani cleanser is described as a gentle cleansing milk which purifies and protects the skin by removing impurities leaving it soft and recharged. It has a creamy consistency and is lightly scented with a sweet smell. I'm very excited to try this out and see how well it removes makeup and how soft it leaves my skin. [RRP £14]

NIP+FAB Kale Fix Moisturiser
A "superfood powerhouse" moisturiser filled with extracts (I think) of kale, watercress and almond oil. A 30ml tube of goodness claiming to leave the skin protected against anything that could aggravate it from pollution to stress, while the concentrated aloe vera and shea butter help soothe and smooth the skin. The moisturiser has a balm like consistency when rubbed into the skin but doesn't dry greasy at all. It's quite a pricey moisturiser so I'm expecting it to be very good! [RRP £19.95 per 50ml]

The Balm Meet Matt(e) Trimony Single Eyeshadow
I'm a big fan of The Balm Cosmetics, so when I saw this little goodie in my Glossybox, I was so excited! This single eyeshadow came packaged in a cute magnetic box and is a gorgeous dark chocolate brown matte shade.

Left: without flash / Right: with flash

It's one of 9 shades from the new 'Meet Matt(e) Trimony' palette. The eyeshadows aren't available to purchase separately, but this single is a full sized pan of shadow. A shade that I will definitely make use of! [RRP £34 for the palette]

A predominantly skincare filled box this month, with only 1 out of 5 products being beauty. I feel like Glossybox really thought about the products for this month since I can use all the skincare ones to make a skincare regime together, which is very useful. I haven't received many products with brands that I was previously familiar with, so I was really pleased to find something from The Balm AND Unani in this month's box! I'll keep you all posted if any of these products make their way into my skincare routine.

I'm a happy bunny with January's Glossybox and am looking forward to next month's Valentine's Day special edition box!

I hope you enjoyed reading and make sure you click back for the next post!
