Zoeva Eye Makeup Brushes Review

Over the years I've tried and tested many makeup brushes, from high street to high end brands but I've not been fully satisfied in my search for well made, value for money brushes. After hearing about the brand Zoeva from a fair few beauty bloggers, I thought I'd give their eye makeup brushes a try since I really needed some. I decided to go for the Zoeva En Taupe Brush Set; described as a decadent six piece collection of limited edition eye brushes. I received a lovely taupe coloured zip-up case with the following brushes...

227 Luxe Soft Definer Brush - a super soft eyeshadow brush which smooths and defines your eyeshadow colour.

228 Luxe Crease Brush - a multi-tasking eyeshadow brush which blends and shades eye makeup in the crease of the eye.

230 Luxe Pencil Brush - an essential eye brush perfect for precise shading and blending of eyeshadow.

238 Luxe Precise Shader Brush - an especially small and precise eyeshadow brush.

317 Wing Liner Brush - a broad, angled liner brush which is perfect for created winged liner looks.

322 Brow Line Brush - a short, angled brush which makes application of brow powder and colour a breeze.

I've been using these brushes for over 6 months now and I'm really impressed! The zip-up case is really handy for travelling with, and is lined with a material that feels like polyurethane which is super easy to clean if it gets messy with makeup residue. The brush handles are really nice to hold and well made, not at all cheap feeling like I've found with many other brushes at a similar price.

The brushes themselves have kept really well after much usage and washing. They wash and dry well, and the white bristles haven't been stained by products either. Another important point to make is that the bristles haven't been shedding when I've been using them or when I've washed them, which is a huge plus point. I've used so many brushes in the past that shed all over the place and it's the most annoying thing having to pick bristles off your face when you're trying to get your blend on!

The bristles are soft but keep their structure enough that they serve their purpose. I have previously come across blending brushes that almost feel too silky so they don't blend well enough, but the 227 Luxe Soft Definer Brush and 228 Luxe Crease Brush are excellent!

I'm genuinely so impressed with these makeup brushes! They do a brilliant job and look and feel like high-end brushes but at a fraction of the price. They currently retail for £40 for the set on www.beautybay.com, which works out at £6.67 per brush plus you get the zip-up case! So if you're after some new makeup brushes, I'd highly recommend checking out the Zoeva brushes. I'm excited to invest in some more myself!

Until next time, ciao fellow makeup lovers!
